Make a solution of a teaspoon of the vinegar in a glass of water. Drinking this solution two or three times daily is very useful. You can also add 2 tablespoons of honey to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and consume it twice daily.

Ginger Root for Gout Pain Relief

Ginger root has got anti-inflammatory properties, which giver relief from gout pain and inflammation. Add fenugreek powder, dried ginger root powder, and turmeric powder in equal amounts to a glass of warm water. Drink the solution 2 times daily. Having raw ginger root or adding it to your meals is also helpful.

Another method to get relief is to make a solution by boiling half a teaspoon of ginger root in a cup of water. Drinking this mixture daily will show considerable improvement in your health.

You could also mix ginger root in water to make a paste and apply on your joints that are affected. Let it stay for half an hour and then wash off.

Baking Soda

Baking soda helps by lowering the concentration of uric acid in the body. Add half a teaspoon of baking soda to a glass of water. Drink the solution four times daily for up to two weeks.

People suffering from hypertension must not seek this remedy. Also, people above the age of 60 should stick to only three glasses per day.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice alkalizes your body to neutralize the content of uric acid. Add half a teaspoon of baking soda to the juice of a lemon, and let it mix for a minute or so. Add the mixture to a glass of water and drink the solution.

You can also make lemon juice by taking the juice from half a lemon and mixing it in water. Drink the solution three times daily for effective results.

Cherries to Reduce Gout Pain

The anthocyanins in cherries reduce the inflammation caused by gout. They have antioxidant properties that are known to reduce the flare-ups too. Consume 15 to 20 cherries daily to get gout pain relief. You can drink a glass of cherry juice daily, and add a few cloves of minced garlic to it.
